Terms of Service

What FOIA FAST does, what it deliberately does not do, and the rules for using it. Section 02 is the one that matters most: we are not your lawyer.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026

01 The agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and FOIA FAST, Inc. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept them. If you are using FOIA FAST for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” means the organization.

02 We are not a law firm

This is the most important section on this page. FOIA FAST is software. It is not a law firm, it does not practice law, and it does not provide legal advice.

  • No attorney–client relationship is created by using the platform, contacting support, or reading anything we publish.
  • Every letter is yours. We draft; you review, edit, and submit. Your name goes on the request, not ours. We are never the filer.
  • Nothing is automatic. No request, follow-up, or appeal is ever sent on your behalf without you affirmatively approving it first.
  • Deadlines and statutory analysis are informational. Verify them. If the outcome matters, retain a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Our UPL policy sets out in detail what the platform will and will not do, and why.

03 AI-generated content

Letters, summaries, exemption scores, and deadline estimates are produced by AI models and are labeled as drafts throughout the product. They can be wrong. They can cite the wrong statute, misread an agency response, or miss an exemption.

You are solely responsible for reviewing every AI output before you act on it. Submitting a draft means you have read it and adopted it as your own.

04 Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for everything that happens under your credentials, and for keeping them secret. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to use FOIA FAST to:

  • Harass, intimidate, or retaliate against any individual, including through the volume or targeting of requests.
  • Impersonate another person, or submit a request in someone else’s name without their authorization.
  • Practice law without a license, or hold FOIA FAST out as your counsel.
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute the platform, or reverse engineer any part of it.
  • Violate any applicable law, including records and privacy law.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section, with or without notice.

06 Billing and per-action charges

FOIA FAST bills per action, not per seat. The exact charge for an action is displayed before that action becomes available — you will never be charged for something you did not see priced first.

  • Charges are authorized by you at the moment you submit. Payment is processed by Stripe.
  • Agency fees are not our fees. Copying, duplication, and special-service charges assessed by an agency are yours to pay directly to that agency.
  • Refunds. If an action fails because of a defect on our side, we refund that action’s charge. We do not refund actions that an agency denies, delays, or ignores — that is the outcome, not the service.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude sales and use taxes, which we collect where required.

Full pricing is on the pricing page.

07 Your content

You own your matters, letters, uploads, and the records you obtain. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the service for you. We claim no other rights in it, and we do not use it to train models. See the privacy policy.

08 Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any agency will respond, respond on time, or produce the records you seek. Public records outcomes depend on agencies, not on us.

09 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FOIA FAST is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost records, or lost legal rights. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

10 Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend access for a material breach of these Terms. On termination, you keep the right to export your matters for 30 days, after which the deletion schedule in the privacy policy applies.

11 Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

12 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email and in the product at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use FOIA FAST after that date means you accept the change. Questions go to [email protected].

FOIA FAST is not a law firm

Nothing on this page or anywhere in the product is legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is created by using FOIA FAST. Every letter we draft is a draft until you review it and submit it yourself. Questions? Read our trust center.
